Brief description of related projects completed by the firm Agnelo Gomes Associates (AGA):   New Fire Alarm System, for Heitzman Recreation Centre, at 2136 Castor Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19134:  Provide electrical design to install new addressable fire alarm system for this 9,000 sq. ft. recreation facility, with Model EST2, Edward System Technology. The plans were drawn on Auto Cad using scaled drawings. The new fire alarm system includes a fire alarm control panel, fire alarm pull stations, strobes, combination horn and strobe units, smoke and heat detectors, duct smoke detectors, remote annunciator panel, conduit, wiring and all other equipment necessary for a complete fire-alarm system. This site alarms are monitored at the Central location in the City Hall.  The new devices are surface mounted. Provided the voltage drop and battery load calculations to satisfy L & I requirements. Construction cost: $28,050. Year completed June 2009.  

New Fire Alarm System, for McVeigh Recreation Centre, at 400-64E Ontario St. Philadelphia, PA 19124: Provide electrical design to install new addressable fire alarm system for this 15,200 sq. ft. recreation facility, with Model EST2, Edward System Technology. The plans were drawn on Auto Cad using scaled drawings. The new fire alarm system includes a fire alarm control panel, fire alarm pull stations, strobes, combination horn and strobe units, smoke and heat detectors, duct smoke detectors, remote annunciator panel, conduit, wiring and all other equipment necessary for a complete fire-alarm system. This site alarms are monitored at the Central location in the City Hall. The new devices are surface mounted. Provided the voltage drop and battery load calculations to satisfy L & I requirements. Construction cost: $59,000. Year completed June 2009. 

New Fire Alarm System, for Northern Liberties Recreation Centre, at 321 Fairmount Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19123: Provide electrical design to install new addressable fire alarm system for this 18,000 sq. ft. recreation facility, with Model EST2, Edward System Technology. The plans were drawn on Auto Cad using scaled drawings. The new fire alarm system includes a fire alarm control panel, fire alarm pull stations, strobes, combination horn and strobe units, smoke and heat detectors, duct smoke detectors, remote annunciator panel, conduit, wiring and all other equipment necessary for a complete fire-alarm system. New Fire Alarm System, for Rivera Recreation Centre, at 3201 N .5th   Street,  Philadelphia, PA 19140:   Provide electrical design to install new addressable fire alarm system for this 21,000 sq. ft. recreation facility, with Model EST2, Edward System Technology. The plans were drawn on Auto Cad using scaled drawings. The new fire alarm system includes a fire alarm control panel, fire alarm pull stations, strobes, combination horn and strobe units, smoke and heat detectors, duct smoke detectors, remote annunciator panel, conduit, wiring and all other equipment necessary for a complete fire-alarm system. This site alarms are monitored at the Central location in the City Hall. The new devices are surface mounted. Provided the voltage drop and battery load calculations to satisfy L & I requirements. Construction cost: $57,000. Year completed June 2009.

Mantua Recreation Center, at 3320-50, Haverford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19104. Construction cost: $33,000. b. Hillside Recreation Center, at 201, Fountain Street., Philadelphia, PA 19128. Construction cost: $28,000. c. Waterview Recreation Center, at 5828, McMahon Street., Philadelphia, PA 19144. Construction cost: $80,000. d. Olney Recreation Center, at 100 East, Godfrey Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19120. Construction cost: $78,000. e. McDevitt Recreation Center, at 3531, Scotts Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19129. Construction cost: $47,000.      

Following are the other 4 recreation center sites for which New addressable fire alarm final design has been completed and the drawings are in review for the Bid Phase:   a. Kendrick Recreation Center, at 5822-24 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19128 for this 35,000 sq. ft. recreation facility. Estimated Construction Budget cost: $225,537. b. Finley Recreation Center, at 7701 Mansfield Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19150 for this 19,000 sq. ft. recreation facility. Estimated Construction Budget cost: $139,000. c. Vogt Recreation Center, at 4131 Unruh Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19135 for this 17,000 sq. ft. recreation facility. Estimated Construction Budget cost: $111,000. d. Kingsessing Recreation Center, at 4901, Kingsessing Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19143 for this 18322 sq. ft. recreation facility. Estimated Construction Budget cost: $223,000.  

Private Owner Mohamad Mustafa, 9301 Cloverly Road, Philadelphia, PA 19114: Completed fire alarm system for a private residential property upgrades for three story building and basement with four apartment units and one commercial unit, fully sprinklered. Provided deign for fire alarm system with manual pull stations and horn and strobes, sprinkler tamper and flow switch and smoke detectors in public spaces ADA compliance. Provide fire alarm riser diagram showing all fire alarm signal and alarm devices. Provide battery load calculations and voltage drop calculations for audio/visual devices up to the last alarm strobe. Design included specifications for fire alarm control panel Simplex Grinnell Model#4004 with battery stand by capacity 135ma and alarm 293 ma at source voltage 24VDC. Specified Horn and Strobe Simplex Grinnell Model#4903-9417 85dba @10 ft and 15 candela. Specified Fire alarm annunciator located on first floor Simplex Grinnell Model# 4601, standby capacity10ma and alarm 30 ma. Wiring installed between initiating devices and alarm devices and fire alarm control panel is of 1# TP in EMT conduit. Wiring installed between fire alarm control panel and annunciator is of 1# 18TP for communication and 1# 14AWG for power all in EMT conduit. All individual apartment units were wired with single station detectors connected to alarm in tandem. Applied and obtained L&I permit. Completed construction in March 2006.  

New Fire Alarm System, for Andrew Hamilton School, 57th and Spruce Streets Scholl District of Phialdelphia, PA:  Provided electrical design to replace existing fire alarm system with new. Remove existing fire alarm system including fire alarm control panel, fire alarm pull stations, alarm bells, duct detectors, conduit, wiring and all other equipment associated with the existing fire alarm system. Provide blank cover plates on all recessed openings after removal of devices. Do not remove existing fire alarm system until new fire alarm system has been installed, tested and kept in operation. The new fire alarm system includes a fire alarm control panel, notification extender panels, fire alarm pull stations, strobes, combination horn and strobe units, smoke and heat detectors, duct smoke detectors, remote annunciator panels, conduit, wiring and all other equipment necessary for a complete fire-alarm system. The new devices are surface mounted. Fire alarm system used closed loop initiating device circuits with individual zone supervision, individual notification appliance circuit supervision, incoming and standby power supervision. Fire alarm system specified was of Edwards system technology (EST). Provide duct smoke detectors at return air ducts of the Air Handling Units and unit ventilators as indicated. Provide remote test stations for duct detectors. Wire duct detectors to the motor starters to shutdown the fan units and alarm the fire alarm control panel. Provide new conduit raceway system for new fire alarm system and install all wiring in rigid steel conduit.  Replaced existing fire alarm system manual pull station devices and bells, with new pull stations with vandal covers and new strobes and horns that meets ADA requirement. Construction cost $90,000. Year completed 2002. 

Upgrades of Fire alarm System at Thomas Shallcross, Byberry & Woodhaven Roads PA: :  Provided electrical design to replace existing fire alarm system with new addressable type. The New design included use of fiber optic cable network communication system between various buildings on campus. Design for Compliance of variance for manual pull stations. Added strobes to various rooms for compliance strobes include 15 and 110 candelas and 110 candela horn and strobes combination units. Estimated budget construction cost $100,000.  

New Fire Alarm hardwired system, Fox Chase Elementary School, B-126(C) of 1997/98, Rhawn and Ridgeway Streets, Philadelphia, PA: Design included installation of manual pull stations at various exits at not more than 40 in high AFF, horn and strobes in corridors and in large rooms to meet ADA compliance, heat detectors. Provided duct smoke detectors at supply and/or return air ducts of the heating and ventilating units that exceeded supply air of 2500 cfm, new FACP and ANN by Simplex. Construction budget $63,000. All wiring has been installed in rigid steel conduit. Construction completed in year 1999.    

New Fire Alarm Hardwired System, Abraham Lincoln High School, Rowland and Ryan Avenues, Philadelphia, PA 19136: Design included installation of manual pull stations at various exits at not more than 40 in high AFF, horn and strobes in corridors and in large rooms to meet ADA compliance, heat detectors and duct detectors, new FACP and ANN by Simplex. Construction budget $187,000. Variance was applied with L&I and has been approved in order to locate manual fire alarm pull stations closer to interior exit door of the vestibule instead of exterior door of the vestibule to be in conformance of the fire code. All wiring has been installed in rigid steel conduit. Construction completed in year 2000.  

New Fire Alarm Hardwired System, George W. Pepper Middle School, 84th St. and Lyons Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19153: Design included installation of manual pull stations at various exits at not more than 40 in high AFF, horn and strobes in corridors and in large rooms to meet ADA compliance, heat detectors and duct detectors, new FACP and ANN by Simplex. Construction budget $87,000. Construction completed in year 1996. 

New Fire Alarm Hardwired System, Charles Carrol School, Edgemont and Auburn Streets Philadelphia, PA 19134: The Design included installation of manual pull stations at various exits at not more than 40 in high AFF, horn and strobes in corridors and in large rooms to meet ADA compliance, heat detectors and duct detectors, new FACP. Construction budget $45,000. Construction completed in year 1999.  

New Fire Alarm service for Fire Pump, Edward Bok AVT School, 8th & Mifflin Sts., Philadelphia, PA 19148, B-137 of 1998/99: New service for fire pump 30 HP, 3 ph, 208V obtained ahead of main disconnect of secondary transformers 3000 amps, with back up diesel fired generator 200KVA, provided on site diesel tank for 8 hours capacity. Construction cost $250,000. Construction completed year 2002.  

Department of Recreation, City of Philadelphia, PA: South Philadelphia Older Adult Center, AGA were electrical engineers for this 9000 sq. ft. Adult Center. Provided electrical design to replace existing fire alarm system with new by Edward system. Construction budget $10,000. Construction has been completed in May 27, 2003  

Philadelphia Prisons, City of Philadelphia: (As an individual) Correctional Facility at State Road, Architect Jacobs/Wyper. Project electrical engineer for 650-bed Correctional Facility, two-story building 300,000 square. Provided fire alarm system for this complex, individual fire alarm control panel for different areas connected together using multiplex technology. Construction has been completed in 1985.  

New Fire Alarm Hardwired System, Roberts Vaux Middle School, 24th and Master Streets Philadelphia, PA 19121: Construction has been completed in 1998. 

New Fire Alarm Addressable System, Walter Biddle Saul High School for Agricultural Sciences, 7100 Henry Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19128: Construction estimated Budget $167,000.
