Heron playground, American and Reed Streets, City of Philadelphia, CPO, Recreation Department:  Design of Pedestrian lighting using 12’ high architectural lighting poles, and pole mounted Mitre 100 watts, HID fixture around walkway to light the walkway. Provide design for underground service wiring up to service panelboard. Estimated construction budget equal to $100,000. The project is under construction. 

New Training facility 8401 State Road, City of Philadelphia, Street Department, PA: Provide design for power, lighting, data, cable and telephone systems for this 2000 square ft. training facility. Provide design for overhead service and metering for this facility. Project is under construction. Worked for the Architect Saxon/Capers, PC, Delaware Avenue, Philadelphia, PA.   New Manayunk Venice Island Recreation, City of Philadelphia Water Department, PA: Project under design for MEP, FP engineering services for this 10,000 square ft. Performance Arts Center with Multipurpose rooms and outdoor lighting for basketball and hockey courts. $1.5 million estimated Budget.

Department of Recreation, City of Philadelphia, PA: Completed outdoor lighting projects for various playgrounds. Provided design for outdoor sports lighting of baseball fields, football fields, soccer, basketball, an tennis courts and Parking lots. Total Construction Budget: $4 Millions.  

Capital Program Office, City of Philadelphia, PA: Haddington Senior Center, 54th & Haverford Streets, Architect Friday Architects. AGA were Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for this Fire House Community and Senior Center, 2 story building, 10,000 square feet with multipurpose room, administrative offices, library, and activity rooms. Provided design for HVAC with 32 tons of air conditioning by roof top electric units, with overhead spiral air duct distribution; finned tube hot water radiation, and gas fired hot water boiler 257 MBH output with heating pumps. Provide design for plumbing system for domestic and sanitary lines. Provided design for sprinklers fire protection. Provided design for new electric service 3 phase, 120/208V, 4 wires, 600 amps, power, lighting, receptacles, fire alarm and security systems. Construction Budget: $400,000.  

Department of Recreation, City of Philadelphia, PA: Fox Chase Playground, construction of new gymnasium facility, Architect Jacobs/Wyper. AGA were Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for this 8,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing recreation building. Provided design for Heating and Ventilation with overhead spiral duct, with two Air Handling gas units 2500 MBH and 80 MBH. Provided design for plumbing and sanitary system. Provided design for electric service 3 phase, 120/208V, 4 wires, 200 amps. Provided design for power, lighting, receptacles, fire alarm and security systems. Construction Budget: $180,000.  

Department of Recreation, City of Philadelphia, PA: South Philadelphia Older Adult Center, AGA were electrical engineers for this 9000 sq. ft. Adult Center. Provided electrical design to replace existing fire damaged electric service with new underground 3 phase 120/208 volt, 4 wire, 400 amps, and design to replace fire damaged feeder wiring for HVAC three roof top units, and branch circuit wiring for lighting. New design for fire alarm system. Construction Cost $64,000 .  

Department of Recreation, City of Philadelphia, PA: Afro-American Historical & Cultural Museum, NWC 7th and Arch Streets, Architects Saxon/Capers, PC.  AGA were Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for the renovations of this museum. Replaced with new two (2) existing 40 tons self contained steam heating and cooling roof top units with heat recovery. Provided new design for kitchen equipment and exhaust. Construction Budget: $250,000 .         

School District of Philadelphia, Phila., PA: Various Relighting projects. Design included replacement of existing fluorescent fixtures with more energy efficient ones with electronic ballasts, and energy efficient T8 lamps. Design included rewiring, and replacement of panelboards. Design included providing new emergency generator system and wiring. Design drawings provided by using Auto Cad Release 2000 program. Total Construction Budget: $3 Millions  

Deliverance Evangelistic Church, Philadelphia, PA for the owner Deliverance Evangelistic Church, 21st. and Lehigh Avenue: AGA were Electrical Engineers for this 4900 people seating capacity church. Provided design for electrical systems to include power, lighting, and Fire Alarm system. Provided a study to save on the operating cost by tie-in to existing 13.2 KV line versus new service in order to service the new load of the church. Implemented the study into a final design to install 1-2000 KVA, 3 phase, 4 wires, 277/480V Pad mounted transformer. Construction budget: $1 million.  

Elevator Alterations and Modernization for various schools in Philadelphia, PA for the School District Of Philadelphia: Project Electrical/Elevator Engineer for various schools. Provided new design to overhaul or replace existing hydraulic and traction  elevator equipment; hoist machines, hydraulic power units, hydraulic cylinder and piston assemblies, hoist motors, motor-generator sets, controllers, signal operating fixtures, car slings, governor and car safeties, door operating system, car enclosures, entrance assemblies, hoist and governor cables, car and counterweight guide shoes, etc. Total construction budget was $10 million.  

Various Architectural projects:   New construction of Bay Tree Storage, Grasonville Station, Grasonville, MD, Torchio, Architects, Pennsylvania Avenue, Centerville, MD, AGA an Associate electrical engineer for Edward Kolsun & Associates, the Mechanical Engineers, Chestertown, MD: Project Electrical Engineering services to the project that consists of a new three- story climate controlled storage building approximately 13,500 SF each floor, and a two-story (1,500 SF per floor) office/apartment building contiguous to the storage building. The total area of both buildings is approximately 43,500 SF. Provide design for fluorescent strip lighting to storage areas and fluorescent lay-in or surface mounted to office areas. Provide warm incandescent lighting for apartment units. Provide egress emergency and exit lighting w/battery backup for storage, office areas and stairways. Provide receptacles for limited storage areas in corridors, office and apartment units. Provide circuiting for lighting and power wiring for electrical heat pumps for emergency backup heat, normal heat is provided by propane gas fired unit heaters. Provide new electric service 3 phase, 120/208V,4w,800 amps to the building. Provide panel schedule, fixture schedule, lighting schedule and single line diagram. Provided Auto CAD base floor plans, on July 7, 2003 as a set of bid documents.  

Electrical Engineering Services for the proposed Fire addition to Churchhill Volunteer Fire Company, MD, Torchio Architects, Pennsylvania Avenue, Centerville, MD, AGA an Associate electrical engineer for Edward Kolsun & Associates, the Mechanical engineers, Chestertown, MD: New addition of 3750 SF with Engine room, Engineer, Scuba, Equipment, lounge, toilet facilities and radio room to existing building of 3860 SF.  Provided lighting and receptacles to rooms of the existing building, and new addition. And power to air conditioning units. Existing service was not adequate to both buildings, so existing service had to be removed and new service 3 phase, 120/208V, 4W, 400 amps was brought in to feed existing and new addition. Provided  new main distribution panel. And new panelboards to various areas of the building. Provided new standby gas fired generator 3 phase 120/240V, 4W, 100KW to feed radio room, well pump, egress lighting and engine room lighting.     

Centerville Plaza, Tenant spaces 4 & 5, Centerville, Maryland Torchio Architects, Pennsylvania Avenue, Centerville, MD, AGA an Associate electrical for Edward Kolsun & Associates the Mechanical Enginers, Chestertown, MD:  Provide Electrical Engineering Services to Space 4 and 5.  Space 4 is approximately 7,500 SF and Space 5 9,400 SF. The owner intends to divide these spaces into a total of 9 tenants. 1. Units 4A, 4B, 4C, 5D & 5E will be basic plain vanilla tenant spaces of total 9265 SF. Provided lighting design using 2X4 fluorescent lay-in fixtures, receptacles and power wiring for roof top AC gas fired unit for each tenant space. 2. Tenant spaces 5A Skate Shop, Tenant space 5B Pottery, Tenant space 5C Hair Salon and Tenant Space 5F Laundry Mat of total space  6875 SF. Provided lighting design using 2X4 fluorescent lay-in fixtures, receptacles and power wiring for roof top AC gas fired unit for each tenant space. Re-used existing service 3 phase 208/120V, 4 wires, 800 amps. Modified existing power distribution to accommodate metering existing and new. Removed existing metering for Tenant spaces #4 and #5. Added new transition box and two sections of metering cabinets. The existing and new metering cabinets will distribute service for total 12 meters and 12 service panels and one meter for one exterior panel. Coordination with the utility company and the existing 3 tenants will be required during transfer of power from existing distribution to modified distribution. 

Chrome World, Inc. Industrial Park, Selbyville, Delaware, Architect G.A. Hastings & Associates 102 Central Avenue Delaware, AGA an Associate for Edward Kolsun & Associates, Mechanical Engineers: Project Electrical Engineer provided design for general, and emergency egress lighting and receptacle for 9500 sq. ft. industrial building with warehouse and office spaces. Provided design for high bay lighting for warehouse and fluorescent recess lighting for office areas. Provided design for security lighting around the building with Walpack floodlights. Provided design for new electrical service 1 ph, 120/240AC 400 amps for building to accommodate lighting, receptacles and heat pump load. Provided base floor plans power and lighting, single line diagram and specifications drawn on Auto Cad to Architect on September 23, 2004, as a set of bid documents.  

Orthopaedic Associates of Southern Delaware, Ocean View Delaware, Architect G.A. Hastings & Associates 102 Centrall Avenue Delaware. AGA an Associate electrical engineer for Edward Kolsun & Associates, the Mechanical Engineers: Project Electrical Engineer provided design for general lighting, and emergency egress exit lighting and receptacles. for 4000 sq.ft. first floor offices and exam rooms. Provided lighting calculations, selected lighting fixtures and provided lighting schedule. Provided power for X Ray machines and X Ray darkroom. Provided design for new electric service 1 phase 120/240Vac, 150 amps for X Ray machine and 3 phase, 120/208V, 400amps for building to accommodate lighting and heat pumps. Provide single line diagram and panel schedules. Provided base floor plans power and lighting, single line diagram and specifications drawn on Auto Cad to Architect on October 1, 2004, as a set of bid documents. 

Jeffs Body Shop, MD Route 18, Chester, Maryland 21666 Architects Random Buffaloes, LLC. , AGA an Associate electrical engineer for Edward Kolsun & Associates, the Mechanical Engineers: Project Electrical Engineer provided design for general lighting, and emergency egress exit lighting and receptacles for 10,450 SF with body shop, offices, spray booth areas. Provided design for  body shop high bay lighting and exterior security lighting. Provided design for special receptacles for welder body shop, frame machines, car lifts, and garage door openers. Provided design to power HVAC CU and AHU units. Provided lighting and receptacles design for wash building. Provided design for new electric service, 3 phase, 120/208V, 4 wires, 600 amps to accommodate loads of HVAC, lighting and power. Provided design of single line diagram and panel schedules. Provided base floor plans power and lighting, single line diagram and specifications drawn on Auto Cad to Architect on October 1, 2004, as a set of bid documents in April 2005.    

La Fontana Restaurant, Kent Shopping Plaza, Chester MD 21619 Architects Random Buffaloes, LLC. , AGA an Associate electrical engineer for Edward Kolsun & Associates, the Mechanical Engineers: Project Electrical Engineer, provided lighting and power design for 2500 SF. Provided power to food service equipment according to rough-in schedules by food service equipment manufacturer. Provided power two roof top AC units. Provided design for new electric service 3 phase, 120/208V, 4 wires, 400 amps. Provided base floor plans power and lighting, single line diagram and specifications drawn on Auto Cad to Architect on January 13, 2006, as a set of bid documents in April 2005.  

Full Tilt Marine, Inc., Winchester Creek Service Road, Grasonville MD 21638, Torchio Architects, Pennsylvania Avenue, Centerville, MD, AGA an Associate electrical engineer for Edward Kolsun & Associates, the Mechanical Engineers, Chestertown, MD: Project Electrical Engineer, provide lighting and power design for two buildings prefabricated of boat show rooms one 6,000SF and the other 4,800. Lighting design provided using High Bay HID 400W MH fixtures for both show rooms. Provided receptacles surface mounted on the wall. Provided power to AC units suspended from corners of the building. Heat was provided by Infra Red Heaters using 120V circuits. One building was extended to contain Boat Service Shops of 5,000 SF, lighting design provided using High Bay HID 400W MH fixtures. Provided receptacles surface mounted on the wall. Provided power to AC units suspended from corners of the building. Heat was provided by Infra Red Heaters using 120V circuits. Special receptacles were provided for welding machines and door openers.  For Parking lot, designed site lighting with cut-off luminaries pole mounted, signage lighting and security lighting around perimeter was provided. (2) Heat pump units with back up electric heat, units floor mounted were provide to serve service center, lunch room, toilets and office areas. Building was provided with two electric services one for heat pumps, 1 phase, 120/240V, 3 wires, 400 amps and other for general lighting, receptacles, and power 1 phase, 120/240VAC, 3 wires , 800 amps.  

2601 N. 6th  Street for electrical contractor Brian Monroe, AGA Project Electrical Engineer, design included baseboard heat in Apt. Units #1 thru #6, provided new electric service 1 phase, 120/240VAC, 3 wires, 600 amps, provided single line diagram to contractor to obtain permit.  

Renovation 201-03 North 63rd Street, Philadelphia, PA, Owner Mustafa Mohamad 9301 Cloverly Road, Philadelphia, PA 19114: Provided general lighting and receptacles for 6 apartment units, emergency lighting for exit and egress. Provided design for new electric service 1 ph, 120/240V, 3 wires, 600 amps. Provided design for one line riser diagram and panel schedules. Provided design for new fire alarm system with manual stations, strobes and horns to meet ADA compliance.  Provided design for fire alarm riser diagram, provided design for fire alarm system secondary battery-set calculation and voltage drop calculations for audio/visual strobes. 

Rehab. of 1500 Block N.  Gratz St. Phila., PA for the City of Philadelphia, Redevelopment Authority: AGA were Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for this Cecil B. Moore Development District: Provided HVAC design including electric cove heating for (65) single family and two family housing units. Provided new plumbing and electric service lines. Construction Budget $700,000.  

Rehab. of 1700 Block N. 16th St., Phila., Pa for the City of Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority: AGA were Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for this Cecil B. Moore Development District: Provided HVAC design including electric cove heating for (85) single family, two family and three family housing units. Provide new plumbing and electric service lines. Construction Budget $900,000.

Brief description of outdoor sports lighting  projects completed by the firm Agnelo Gomes Associates (AGA): Jardel Rec. Center, 1400 Cottman Avenue Department of Recreation, City of Philadelphia, PA: Provided design for outdoor sports lighting of (1) football field, (1) soccer field and (4) softball fields. Performed lighting calculations to provide average maintained 20 fc for football and soccer field with max/min 3 to 1. For softball fields infield 20 fc and outfield 15 fc. Provided from the manufacturer of the flood-lighting luminaries proposed, computer generated Luminance Distribution and Aiming diagrams for each sport. Diagrams prepared at a scale of not less than 20 feet to the inch on a grid of inch by 1 inch. Provided concrete foundation bases for all lighting poles. Bases as recommended by the pole manufacturer, for the maximum EPA rating of the poles, at the specified wind loading. Pole base details shown on the drawings are the minimum that shall be installed. Pole bases anchor bolts of the hook type and of proper size and length, as required for the equipment specified, furnished and set by the Electrical Contractor, before any concrete is poured.
Provided a new electric service 1 ph, 120/240V, 3 wires, 600 amps, main distribution panel and various service lighting panels in the outdoor field service cabinet. Provided voltage drop calculations for various circuits. Provided pushbutton controls with timers for energy savings. Provided user Demand Pushbutton control for convenience and energy saving feature at the outdoor Field Service cabinet. The construction Budget was $477,000. The project construction completed and commissioned on August 7, 2008.

The Navy Yard 26th  Street Improvements - Phase I for Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation: Electrical Design for 26th St. lighting improvements, from Penrose Avenue to Langley Avenue, Philadelphia, PA: As an electrical sub-consultant MBE to the Landscape Architect JMT Engineering, Philadelphia, PA involved in the Design of Pedestrian lighting using 16 ft. high light poles and pole mounted Saturn cutoff 150 watts MH fixture, and for street lighting using 30 ft. high light poles using cobra head GE 250 watts HPS fixture to meet Street Department City Standard Specifications. Design also included lighting calculations, electrical service distribution thru (3) pad mounted transformers 13.2KV to 1ph, 120/240 volts 3 wires, 60 amps service panel mounted in outdoor field service cabinet, stainless steel cabinets enclosures. The estimated construction budget $590,000. The project is under construction.
